What?

A Yarn Crawl is an organized event focused on exploring the yarn shops of an area over a specific time period. Normally organized by a group of knitters, such as a guild or club, the Rose City Yarn Crawl is special because it has been developed through collaboration by eighteen shops for the ultimate experience.
Why?
Amazing prize baskets! The more shops you visit, the more chances to win. Visit all shops for a chance to win the Grand Prize Basket.
Also, because the annual Rose City Yarn Crawl offers participants, shops, and sponsors the opportunity to interact and form closer relationships.
Who?
Participation is open to anyone and everyone who is interested in learning more about the Portland-area knitting community. To join in the discussion with other crawlers online, we encourage all participants to:
Special Pattern?
Each Shop will be offering a special pattern, free with purchase (see shop pages for details), during the Rose City Yarn Crawl that is inspired by the Rose City and designed by local talent. Subscribe to our social media accounts (see Who?) to get sneak peeks of the next year’s Rose City Yarn Crawl patterns as they develop. After the Crawl, the patterns are available for purchase as an e-book on Ravelry.
When?
The 2014 Rose City Yarn Crawl will take place from February 27th – March 2rd, 2013, between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm. All participating shops have agreed to remain open between these hours, making the Crawl more accessible to participants. Some may be open longer, as well.
