Wendy Hanson of Shaggy Bear Farms runs a “farm to needle” business in Scio, Oregon, where she raises her animals and hand-dyes her yarn. She cares for more than 400 sheep, goats, rabbits and llamas, many of whom are rescue animals. Wendy always fills our classroom with an amazing variety of yarns and spinning fiber–be sure to stop by and listen to Wendy’s tales of life on the farm!

Salty Blonde from Elizabeth, CO

At Salty Blonde Fiber, we’re pretty sure we’ve never met a speckle we don’t like- and our yarn shows it! We bring you an array of tonals and beautifully  micro-speckled yarns inspired by classic literature, pop culture, nature, & pretty much whatever else we're into at the moment. We love a soft, plump yarn base and won’t dye one we wouldn’t personally create with.

Salty Blonde Fiber brings her signature hand-dyed magic to the Crawl with a gorgeous array of tonal and speckled yarns across a variety of beloved bases. Her colors are rich, expressive, and endlessly cast-on-worthy. For this year’s Mythical Creatures theme, she’s dyeing up a special, Crawl-exclusive colorway.

Swanky Raven from Vancouver, WA

Swanky Raven Studio is the work of a trained bench jeweler who creates beautifully crafted jewelry and shawl pins using silver, gold, and semi-precious gemstones. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and made with positive intention, blending skilled craftsmanship with a sense of wonder and delight. This year, expect plenty of sparkle, no shortage of unicorn charms, and other mythical creatures waiting to be discovered at her table.

Welcome Jess of Ginger Twist all the way from Edinburgh! Jess is an Oregonian who now also calls Scotland home. She runs the cutest wee bijou shop - Ginger Twist Studio - and keeps it stacked floor-to-ceiling with delicious yarns. Ginger's Hand Dyed is Jess' own range of hand-dyed wools in lovely UK fiber blends and her unique ginger twist on colors. We are so excited to welcome Jess for two days of Crawl this year.

We are happy to host Stacie and Tangie from Imperial Yarn, our local producer of climate beneficial yarns. They will be proudly sharing all the latest and the greatest in their American Grown, American Made, and Luxury yarns. Yarn and kits will be available. Come check out their beautiful knit samples!

Local ceramic artist, Briones Made, will be sending Weird Sisters a one of a kind trunk show for the whole weekend of Crawl! Michelle Briones creates hand sculpted, functional pottery, including yarn bowls. Each one is thoughtfully designed and utterly unique. If you've been searching for that special one, you have to check these out - they always go quick!

Seattle based dyer, Hazel Knits will be sending us an amazing trunk show collection in their incredible spectrum of deeply layered colors. We'll have kits, a new limited edition colorway and past favorites. They make some of the best PNW inspired colors!

At the heart of Rebecca Pearcy is her passion for color & textiles. After starting & growing her first business, Queen Bee, she embarked on a study of surface design at The Fabric Workshop in Philadelphia, where she fell in love with the process of designing & hand printing her own patterns onto fabrics. RP will be bringing us a wonderful crafters collection of bins and bags designed, printed, and sewn in her Portland studio.

We’re excited to once again feature Fiona Kay Knits for all four days of the Crawl. A one-woman dying operation based right here in Portland, Fiona draws inspiration from goth and alternative fashions, country western aesthetics, horror movies and American traditional tattoo designs. Her work has been described as “Goth Lisa Frank” or “Dolly Parton meets Elvira.” Fiona’s yarn is featured in our shop’s knit pattern this year.

The Fiber Rhythm Studio is where Lisa and Dawn get to experiment with knitting, answering questions about technique and gauge in the process. Items that we produce are for sale as already-made one-of-a-kind garments. Patterns for the simpler designs are also available for hand and machine knitters. The Fiber Rhythm Craft Space is our community resource where crafty folks can rent time on our equipment. We have a drum carder, sewing machine, cricut, and several knitting machines for in-space rental. We also have limited quantities of take-home equipment available to rent. Come to the Knitting Machine room during crawl to check out what you might be able to do with a knitting machine! Demo schedule will be provided on the Fiber Rhythm website prior to crawl.

Reflective Society is a collection of everyday, wearable reflective accessories for bikers, pedestrians and dance parties! Owner and designer Iris Vondell started working with reflective yarn, reflective fabric and reflective rope after she was hit by a car while biking in 2011. What began as a small personal project turned into a passion to bring visibility and fashion together with functional and unique pieces!

Iris is planning on being at the shop all 4 days of the crawl.

We are thrilled to host Harrisville Designs Trunk Show featuring their Hydropower series, flyWHEEL, WATERshed and TURBINE. This line was created to help support Harrisville’s hydropower installation so they can produce clean energy from the waterways their mill uses. We will have samples of each base and lots of yarns for you to choose from. Come see why we love this yarn so much!

Since they can't be here in person, we invited them to send along a special trunk show for you to shop throughout the crawl. The warm and inviting colors of Sewrella yarn create beautiful garments with a story. Two custom colorways will grace the shop, these are limited, so snag em while you can!
